German Third Reich Paper Money with Bogus Stamps

There are quite a few people paying ridiculous amounts for paper money from the Third Reich era that have been stamped with various unit stamps(usually SS TK). Notice that the seller states that the notes are genuine but he cannot guarantee they weren't stamped after the war. Well, they WERE stamped after the war. Probably right before being auctioned.
They are geniune notes that have been ruined with bogus stamps. Why would an SS division stamp national currency with their unit stamp? The answer is: they didn't. It was most likely illegal to deface currency just as it has always beenin the U.S. and most countries. Save your money and buy less expensivegenuine notes that have not been trashed.
