Hi, This is a must! NEVER use hairspray when you want to dust, preserve or brighten silk flowers or dried flowers. The best thing to use is a clear enamel spray paint that you can pick up virtually anywhere for about a $1.00. Using hairspray will only make your project a stickymess and the dust will stick to it and never go away. When you first have your silk flowers, grapevine, willow or straw wreaths, dried or even eucalyptis items. Spray them evenly with a coat of clear enamel - wait for it to gepletely dry and spray again making sure you take your time and evenly coat your project. Then when you see dust start to form get out your blow dryer and put it on a low setting and blow the dust off.
If you have your silk items and they are dusty all ready, use your blow dryer to get as much dust off as you canthen use the clear enamel spray paint.
They also sell a silk cleaning spray that you spray on, leave dry and shake it off. I have used this product in the past and found it to be expensive and useless.
If you have dried flowers or natural wreaths that are dull from the sun, pep them up by using a high gloss enamel spray paint.
You can also use clear enamel spray paint to help weatherproof your outdoor ribbon against rain and sun exposure, when using it for protection against rain or snow you need to spray it at least 4 times.
I hope this information helps! Regards! Debi Owner of Bubble Berry Craft Supplies on okay
